Garry Thompson Oggle Band star Garry is doing a Country Dance workshop for families. Yes that is; Mum, Dad and the Kids up at the Edgehill Hall and it's free. Should be a great afternoon's fun and a chance for the children to see Mum and Dad in action.
Sue White - Singing workshops For the 'singer who has never sung in public' we have local singer Sue White who will nurture you through the process of finding your voice to enable you to join in and enjoy the Big Sing by the end of the week.
If you’re new to singing on your own or haven’t got round to it yet, then these are the workshops for you! Each day we’ll look at different aspects of solo singing – such as dealing with nerves; choosing suitable material for yourself; what to sing where; developing your singing skills; getting people to join in. Most important of all there’ll be space for you to have a go, so bring along some words if you need them.
More experienced singers are welcome too; you’ll be able to contribute suggestions and hopefully get some fresh ideas, but you might not get the chance to sing on your own. There will be a lunch-time singaround everyday in the Joiners Arms after the workshops where everyone who wants to, will be able to sing.
