The Blacksmiths Arms

Bideford Folk Club
Bideford Folk Club happens every Thursday evening at the Joiners Arms in Market Place. The evening starts at 8pm and it’s a singaround with occasional guests three or four times a year. It is a very friendly club that welcomes visitors to the area and encourages those who are finding a folk voice and are new to singing to have a go. It’s best to check at Christmas time and the New Year as those are the only time the club may not be on a Thursday.

Country Life Brewery
Established in 1998, and sited at the Big Sheep, Country Life Brewery can now produce over 15,000 pints of award winning ales a week and is North Devon's largest bottling brewer. Country Life Brewery also produces ales under contract for other brewers. The Brewery shop sells bottles of Ales and various ciders. Take out "Kegs" of ales and beer are available in 18, 36 and 72 pints on request.
These beers are brewed using the traditional techniques which ensure that there is a consistency of product and they will be amongst the very best real ales brewed in the UK today. Try a pint and enjoy.
