Amy Newton 
Amy is a singer songwriter based in North Devon. She was born and lived in the village of Croyde which is a surfing community and some of her inspiration comes from that environment. Her songs have been used on surf movies and the lyrics touch everyone in some way. She studied music at Liverpool School of Performing Arts where she attained a degree.
She has been performing mainly her own songs at gigs throughout the South West of England and has good underground following in the UK. Amy is been one North Devon's best kept secrets. A great live performer, she has been building a following of loyal fans and is starting to break on the festival circuit.
Her performances have been building on her fan base in the U.K over the last 2 years selling 2500 copies of her first CD“Lost for Words” including sales on itunes. This album was recorded and produced in London and mastered at Abbey Road Studio.
Her latest album “Which Hand” released in May 2007 has sold over 1000 copies. All tracks were played, produced and mixed by Amy at her home studio.
Last year saw Amy appearing live on radio shows Blast FM - Lantern FM - BBC Radio Devon - ITV Westcountry News.
She also traveled the U.K. playing at various music festivals including Glastonbury-The Brampton Music Festival and
The Wickerman Festival from which she has gained a strong underground fan base that keep in touch via the website.
