Babelfish

Babelfish is Lisa Sture on violin and mandolin, John Hextall on baritone sax, English pipes and piano accordeon and Chris Millington on guitar, melodeon and vocals. Together they produce a unique and exciting sound and performance.

Both John and Lisa are accomplished multi-instrumentalists having played proffesionally for many years. Lisa has played in the poular ceilidh band 'Stomp' and 'The Oggle Band,' and amongst her festival appearances are Sidmouth International Folk Festival, Chippenham, Fylde and Arlington Folk Festivals.

John is a veteran of funk, soul and jazz bands such as 'The Sick Men of Europe,' and more recently folk bands such as 'The Oggle Band' and 'Keltaskelta.'

Chris's reputation was born in the diverse tradition of Manchester indie bands and acclaimed folk punk band 'Michael's Bones.' The energy that the band bring to their music along with their varied musical styles and influences give them a unique appeal guaranteed to transform any music enthusiast into a Marisco fan.
