Bideford Folk Festival is happy to have ‘Chopes Department Store’ as sponsors of the Nancy Kerr & James Fagan headline Concert in the Park

The place to go for everything, from lingerie to linens, handbags to haberdashery and menswear to millinery.

Set in the heart of Bideford, Chopes Department Store supplies an enormous range of goods, emphasising quality, value and choice with friendly and attentive service. You can get everything for the home, including bed linen, pillows and duvets, as well as towels and table linen. There is high quality cookware and all the kitchen gadgets and utensils you need, and dining is taken care of by a good range of tableware and drinks glasses. They can give you a free estimate for your made-to-measure curtains, and carry a huge range of ready made curtains, nets and voiles. There are not many haberdashery departments like the one at Chopes anymore, and there is a good selection of dress fabrics as well. If you are looking for a gift, there are collectibles, photo frames, and a variety of anniversary and occasion gifts.

The choice of lingerie and swimwear is particularly good, and the free fitting service means you should always achieve the perfect fit. The accessories department stocks everything for season, including an excellent range of leather and synthetic handbags, casual bags and casual and occasion hats. Ranges of fashion, costume and silver jewellery mean you can always find the finishing touch you are looking for! For a great fashion offer, there is a Dorothy Perkins shop-in-shop within the store. For the men there are both casual and smart ranges from labels such as Gabicci, Farah and Wolsey, and all the basics you would expect to find.

Visit Chopes this summer – quality, choice and value since 1898.

Evening Concert in the Park

Marquee in the Park, Victoria Park

Saturday 19th 7.30pm Tickets £8

What an evening we have lined up for you. Nancy Kerr and James Fagan were the winners of the 2003 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for Best Duo an award they richly deserved. They are worth the price of the ticket alone. But; we have for you Dangerous Curves, three ladies with a wicked wit and impeccable harmonies (look out for them in the cake shop) and the Amazing Mr Smith who as well as being a fine musician is also a wonderful musical eccentric. A truly terrific Saturday night’s entertainment.
