Bideford Folk Festival is happy to have ‘The Blacksmiths Arms’ as the sponsor of ‘Folk at the Blacksmiths’
The Blacksmiths Arms in East the Water was the setting for the very successful Irish session in 2005. This year it is a central venue for the festival with several concerts and sessions taking place.
The Blacksmiths is situated adjacent to the Tarka Trail so it is ideal for holiday makers and locals alike as a pleasant place to head for at the end of a walk or bike ride. Inside it is very open, light and airey. The staff are always welcoming and did us proud last year. It has a wonderful outside open decked area accessible from the Tarka Trail, where you can relax have a drink and eat a meal. Meals are always good quality and inexpensive, Bideford Phoenix Morris Side usually end up there on a Saturday lunchtime when they are dancing at home.
