Pub Sessions and the Teatime SessionSingers and Musicians We want Bideford Folk festival to be a singers and players festival – because this is who we are – singers and musicians. Other festivals have a “fringe” of free events and sessions, at Bideford we want the “fringe” to be at the heart of the festival. During the festival we have lunchtime and evening sessions in rooms with great acoustics just waiting for singers, and musicians of all persuasions. There are going to be lunchtime and evening music and song sessions every day with guest Mc’s with experience of running sessions all over the West Country. Mc’s include Lucy and Kevin Burrows, Roger Bryant, Martin and Vera Jardine, Ian Hudson, John Parker, Gwilym Davies and Sue White. Mainly held at the Joiners Arms they do move around a bit to add some variety, different acoustics and to make way for concerts or sessions. Song sessions will include tunes and music sessions, song. New this Year! New this year will be the Teatime at the Bethel which will run from Tuesday to Friday from 4.30 to 6.30pm at the Bethel Church Hall with tea and cake or coffee and biscuits. Laid back and relaxed it will be a chance for festival visitors and some surprise guests to perform a short set. Sign up on the day to perform.
