Welcome to Bideford Folk Festival website. This week long friendly festival is held in and around the historic port of Bideford, situated in a beautiful part of North Devon.
There are concerts and music sessions taking place every day of the week with plenty of opportunity for musicians and singers to join in, or you may just want to sit and listen to good music and soak up the atmosphere. There will be a bar at most venues.
The final weekend of the festival culminates with a weekend of song and dance including Morris Sides, a Ceilidh, and a Concert in the beautiful Victoria Park. In tune with our maritime tradition, Sunday will feature some fine shanty singing.
As part of your festival holiday, you may wish to visit some of the local areas of outstanding natural beauty, the fine beaches or one of the many award winning tourist attractions.
The spirit of the 2004 festival was co-operative. Many artists and performers gave their services freely to help establish Bideford Folk Festival as an annual event. We carry on in that tradition; nearly all events are free entry, although we are seasoned bucket rattlers!
